Hello my name is Kate, and I’m a cake addict
You too? Whoop whoop!
Oh man, I LOVE cake and I’ve been making them for over 20 years. I just love how much FUN it is! And what brings more joy than cake, right?
I started making cakes professionally in 2016, and soon learnt that the key to an extraordinary cake is all in the detail.
Soon I was being asked to share my secrets.
“Secrets?” I said. “Dude there are no secrets… just a great kit of tools, techniques and a truckload of practise”.
That’s when I realised I needed to teach what I know. And what I know is – there is no mystery to creating amazing cakes! That means… you can do it too!

I opened Studio Five in 2019 to start teaching classes in cake decorating and sugarcraft skills and the feedback has been awesome:
